pH Balancing Blueberry Super Smoothie Recipe

The positive effects of an optimized pH are astounding. It can help to improve everything from blood health to hormone balance, digestion, and even muscle maintenance. Having a properly balanced pH ensures that acids in the body can be controlled for peak performance at all times. Not only that but you will be creating an environment in which it becomes more difficult for disease and illness to thrive, creating ‘ease’ within your body.

Amazingly, the safest and easiest way to do this is by simply drinking 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda in water every day (I have mine with a little apple cider vinegar, the baking soda stops the vinegar from tasting sour). Baking soda is a natural and nontoxic ingredient that can work magic in the kitchen as well as in-home and outdoor cleaning. And so I’ve added a little baking soda to this blueberry smoothie so you can experience its wonderful neutralizing effects but feel free to leave that part out and drink it on the side with water as an alternative ;).

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1 large ripe banana

1/2 cup spinach leaves

3 cups almond or coconut milk (or milk of your choice)

1 level teaspoon of baking soda
