Hollowing out the center of papaya is a fun and interesting way to serve up your smoothies and the combination of soft fresh fruit with this creamy berry smoothie tastes simply divine!
The papaya is one of the most healthy fruits you can eat due to its high vitamin C content as well as that it contains potent antioxidants and is the only fruit that has been proven to help protect against breast cancer.
Holistic cooking tip – the seeds as well as the flesh of this native Mexican fruit are also antimicrobial as well as antibacterial and anti-viral making this papaya smoothie great for parasite cleansing as well as general detoxifying.

Method
- Cut your papaya in half and then cut each half into halves. So you will have two nice middle pieces that will be your edible smoothie plate and two end pieces that you will use the flesh off in your berry smoothie. Once you have cut your papaya scoop out all the seeds carefully.

2. Next, in a blender add your papaya flesh from the end bits, frozen raspberries, yoghurt and honey and blend until smooth.

3. Plate up your smoothie bowl by first placing the two middle pieces of papaya onto separate plates, then carefully scoping the smoothie into the middle. If your using granola arrange this onto of half of the smoothie part and add any other garnishes you may want to use, I’ve chosen an edible nasturtium flower from my garden.
