Super Cleansing Pineapple & Turmeric Smoothie Recipe

This yummy smoothie has a tropical flavour with an interesting kick added from the turmeric. It works best with fresh pineapple if you want to get all the cleansing anti-pathogenic benefits from the fruit.

The probiotics in the coconut yoghurt will also help to kill off bad bacteria in your gut and the turmeric will help to fight off pretty much any infection or disease including cancer while boosting your immune system at the same time.

Ingredients

1 large slice of pineapple diced

2cm of fresh ginger grated or finely chopped

1 ripe banana

2 tablespoons of natural coconut yoghurt

1/2 cup of coconut milk

2 teaspoons of honey

1 teaspoon of turmeric powder or 1 cm of grated fresh turmeric (if you can get fresh, it works better for medicinal purposes)

Method

Simply blend together in a food processor until smooth and enjoy.

Tip: If you want to detox your liver and get all the true powerful cleansing benefits from the turmeric then ad a little cracked pepper. The main active ingredient in turmeric is highly medicinal but is not very bio-available unless you have it with black pepper and fat because it’s fat soluble. Doing this will make the turmeric 2,000 times more powerful 💫.
